Irvin "Buddy" E. Hebert Jr.

July 29, 1943 — February 25, 2021

Irvin “Buddy” Hebert, Jr. passed away peacefully on February 25, 2021 at the age of 77. Loving husband of JoAnn Relick Hebert for 43 years. Father of Nicole Evans (Michael). Grandfather of Trey Michael Evans. Son of the late Irvin Hebert, Sr. and the late Mary Miller Hebert. Brother of Rosemary Hebert Dean. Uncle of Terence Martin (Keri). Great-uncle of Jesse, Richard, and Carrie Martin. Great-great uncle of Thomas Jesse Martin. Buddy graduated from Warren Easton High School and later graduated from Delgado Community College. He worked at Prager Machine Shop and Louisiana Power and Light. He was President and Owner of Hebert Machine Works, Inc. and retired in 2004. He was a past member of the Harvey Canal Industrial Association. Buddy enjoyed being at his Myrtle Grove House boating and fishing, especially with his grandson Trey. He absolutely adored his daughter Nicole as she was the apple of his eye. Buddy was a workaholic and constantly tried to convince his son-in-law, Michael, to be the same. Buddy and his beloved wife made the best memories any one could ask for in life, especially during Mardi Gras. Mardi Gras always was a huge part of their lives. Buddy and JoAnn were on the court as Duke and Maid in the Krewe of Rhea. He was also a past member of the Choctaw Carnival Club. He loved catching parades on the neutral ground Uptown.
