Ida Mae Bourgeois August 21, 1933 – February 3, 2022 Ida Mae Navarre Bourgeois, passed away on February 3, 2022 at the age of 88. She passed peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Ernest A. Bourgeois, Sr. for 66 years. Mother of Donna Billings, Michael, Curtis, and Joann Bourgeois, the late Ernest Bourgeois, Jr. and Peggy Sue Holston. She also raised two of her grandchildren as her own, Rai Lynn and Ashley. Mother-in-law to John (Rick) Billings, Mavis, Linda, and Tammy Bourgeois. Preceded in death by her brother, Raymond Navarre (Lois). Survived by one sister Jackie Martin (John G). Also survived by 16 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her life revolved around her family, friends and service to her community through her work at the Boothville/Venice Volunteer Fire Department where she worked for many years. She was loving, compassionate and patient, always there to lend a helping hand. She will be sadly missed but will remain forever in our hearts. Family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 from 5PM until 12 Midnight. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 from 8AM until 10AM. Funeral Services will take place at the funeral home on Wednesday at 10AM.
