Huey R. Galmiche Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Huey Raymond Galmiche passed away peacefully at home on Monday, June 13, 2022, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on August 30, 1949 in Port Sulphur, La. He was 72 years old. Huey is predeceased by his daughter, Mary Galmiche; his parents, Berdine Franovich Galmiche and Joseph Galmiche; his sister Mary Ellen Galmiche Bergeron and his brothers, J.C. Galmiche, Donnie Galmiche, and Timmy Galmiche. Huey is survived by his loving wife, Odessa Buras Galmiche of 49 years. They were married in Belle Chasse, LA on Nov. 10, 1972. Huey is lovingly remembered by his sons, Huey Paul Galmiche (Patricia) and Peter Galmiche (Brittany) and his daughters, Anita Galmiche (Mike) and Alanna Galmiche (Dylan). He is also survived by his grandchildren Hunter Galmiche, Kali Serpas, Lexie Fruge, Landen Fruge and Raymond Galmiche. Huey graduated from Buras High School in 1967. He worked many jobs but will be remembered mostly by his positions held at Fill A Sack, Blanchard’s Auto and DNOW. Huey enjoyed hunting and fishing but most importantly spending time with family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. The visitation will be held at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 28698 Hwy 23, Port Sulphur, LA 70083 on Thursday, June 23, 2022 from 9:30 AM until 1:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church on Thursday at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery, Port Sulphur, LA.
