Hilda C. Smith

Mrs. Hilda C. Smith, daughter of late Ezkiel Coles (father) and Juanita Coles (mother) was born on 09/08/1927 in Slab Fork, West Virginia. In 1947 Hilda married the love of her life late James B. Smith. Their union was blessed with four children. Hilda was preceded in death by her son James B. Smith (June) and her daughter Joyce Smith Carter and seven siblings. Hilda quietly departed this life on Monday June 15th, 2020. Hilda was a devoted woman of God, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: Frances Brown and spouse, Jerry Smith and spouse, her siblings Clytie Matthews (sister), Dekota Tilley (sister), Eugene Coles (brother), five grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Thursday, June 18, 2020 from 3:30PM until 6PM. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 6PM.
