Hilda Mccoy

Hilda Mae Power McCoy, lifelong resident of Algiers, Louisiana, entered into eternal rest on Easter Sunday, April 12, 2020. Age 91. She was the daughter of the late Hilda Coyne Power and Harold Louis Power, Sr. Preceded in death by her brother Harold "Pete" Power, Jr., a daughter Susan Walsh, and a son, Brother Timothy McCoy. She is the devoted mother of June Thornton (Tom) and Robert McCoy (Claire). Grandmother of Renee' Burlette (Eric), Robert McCoy, Jr. (Jennifer), Christopher McCoy (Jessica), Daniel McCoy (Gabby) and Brian Walsh. Step-grandmother to Craig (Jenny), Kira and Brad Thornton and Brittany Burlette. Great Grandmother to Lauren Burlette, Haley, Ashlyn, Liam, Maria, Oliver, Parker and Mila McCoy.
Hilda worked at LP&L, TG&Y, Pharmaceutical Services and Hibernia National Bank. Hilda was a loving and generous homemaker. She loved her family most of all, delighted in cooking and sharing meals around the table with her loved ones.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the Woldenberg Nursing Staff (2nd floor) and especially Nurse Nancy who cared for her over the last few years.
Given the public health concerns regarding Covid19, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
