Hilda Frances Cooper Ratliff

April 26, 1930 — April 11, 2021

Hilda Frances Cooper Ratliff (90) was born on April 26, 1930. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 11, 2021. She was born and raised in Morgantown, Mississippi, a resident of Port Sulphur, Louisiana, and currently lived in Bogalusa, Louisiana. She was reunited in heaven with her beloved husband and sweetheart, Hulon Eugene Ratliff, of nearly 50 years of marriage; her daughter, Frances Melynda Ratliff Dobson; father, Charles Toxie Cooper; mother, Maxie Pearl Hammond Cooper; and brothers, Glynn LaRue Cooper and Johnie Charles Cooper. Left to cherish her memory are her loving family including daughter, Amy Eugenia Ratliff Peoples; sons-in-law, Thomas O’Nell Dobson and Robert Earl Peoples; brother, Thais Michael Cooper (Betty); grandchildren, Angela Rae Peoples Dubois, Kathryn (Katie) Frances Berget (Aaron), Jennifer (Jenny) Nell McJunkin (Timothy), Robert (Robby) Eugene Peoples, Stephanie Melynda Longman (Shawn), and Jonathon Michael Peoples; great-grandchildren, Rebecca, Devon, Emily, Emmaline, Olivia, Aaron, Jr., Anna, Adam, Alyssa, Jacob, Samantha, Sadie, and Allison; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
Hilda was a retired mail carrier from the United States Postal Service. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and sang in the Port Sulphur Baptist Church choir. She fully lived a Christian life, ministering everywhere she went. Even in her final hours on Earth, she asked her surgical team if they were saved. Hilda would wish for anyone reading this to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
