Henry Joseph Weigel Sr

Henry Joseph Weigel Sr passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2022, at the age of 87. He was born in Gretna, La on August 30, 1934, to the late Jacob and Lucy Weigel.
Henry is survived by his three children, Linda Miller (Mark), Michael Weigel (Christina) and Donald “Duck” Weigel (Cindy); his stepchildren, Alvin Camardelle and Victoria Breaux; Henry is also survived by eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Loretta Alonzo Weigel; his parents, Jacob C. Weigel Sr and Lucy Taravella Weigel; his son, Henry J Weigel Jr; and his brother, Jacob C. Weigel Jr.
Henry was an avid hunter and fisherman. He worked for the Continental Canning Company, and he also worked for the Jefferson Parish School Board. Henry will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral gathering to celebrate the life of Henry J Weigel Sr at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, La 70053 on Monday, March 7, 2022, beginning at 10am. A graveside service will follow at Westlawn Cemetery, at 11am.
