Henrietta Galliano Oster

Henrietta G. Oster passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, January 7, 2021. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Oster Caruso (Daniel); her two grandchildren, Susan Caruso Wineski and Steven Caruso, as well as many, many, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband Joseph H. Oster and her son Brian J. Oster. Henrietta is also preceded in death by her eleven brothers and sisters.
Henrietta was born on January 23, 1924 to Pierre and Selima Galliano. She was a resident of Marrero for 75 years.
Henrietta worked as a welder at Delta Shipyards during WWII. She was a seamstress and a crafter in her spare time, and she was also an avid gardener.
Henrietta will be loved forever and will be missed more than words can express.
Sweet Dreams
A private graveside service will be held at Westlawn Cemetery. As Mandated by the State of Louisiana, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, everyone is required to wear a face mask at all times and practice social distancing.
In lieu of flowers, donations made to Bridge House New Orleans or Christ Baptist Church in Harvey would be greatly appreciated.
