Harold Joseph Conrad

Harold Joseph Conrad, 88, of Westwego, LA passed away on August 26, 2021. Harold was born on December 19, 1932 in Labadieville, LA. He grew up in Gretna, LA with his mother Rose Clause. Harold married Sheila Ann Martinez on May 31, 1958. They moved to Westwego where they raised their 4 children—Rodney Joseph Conrad, Rory Anthony Conrad, Ryan James Conrad, and Rhonda Ann Conrad-Jaufre. He is survived by 4 grandchildren—Abigail & Andrew Jaufre and Adam & Avery Packnett.Harold served in the United States Army at Fort Bliss Texas. He worked as a tool repairman for Halliburton Industries in Harvey, LA for 35 years. He retired in 1991. Harold was always telling jokes and he could build or fix just about anything. He enjoyed riding his 1981 Harley-Davison 1800 Electra Glide which he gave up at retirement. Harold went on to customize an award-winning1979 Volkwagon convertible.
