Guthrie "Gus" Joseph Adams

Guthrie “Gus” Joseph Adams passed away peacefully on September 5, 2018 at the age of 95 years. Beloved husband of Elmira Cavaretta Adams. Loving father of Brian Paul Adams (Anne) and Eric John Adams (Paige). Grandfather of Ryan Paul Adams (Megan), Eric John Paul Adams II (Amber) and Danielle Elizabeth Adams. Great-grandfather of Averie Elizabeth Adams, Cooper Joseph Adams, and Eric John Paul “Tripp” Adams III. Son of the late Alphonse J. Adams and Ezolean Ougel Adams. Brother of the late Guy J. Adams and Alvin J. Adams. Uncle of Robbie Adams (Adele) and Lola Adams (B.J.). Great-uncle of Elyse, Yvette and Robin Adams.

Gus was a native of Lockport, LA and longtime resident of Harvey, LA. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater and later retired as a barber.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Monday, September 10, 2018 from 9am to 11am. A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated in the funeral home chapel. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park.
