Glenda Ann Ford Henderson was born August 8, 1950 to the parents of Florine Seals Ford and Willie Ford Sr. both of New Orleans, LA. On March 8, 2022, the Lord called His angel home. She was the second to the oldest of nine siblings. Glenda accepted Christ at an early age and attended Mount Zion United Methodist Church in New Orleans, LA. Glenda graduated from Walter L. Cohen Senior High School and received her degree in education from Southern University of New Orleans. She was a devoted teacher at Agnes L. Bauduit Elementary School, Lafayette Elementary School, Blessed Sacrament Catholic School, and Livingston Middle School. Glenda was a longtime resident of New Orleans and then relocated to Dallas, TX. She departed this life on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 to spend eternity with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Glenda was a loving mother, grandmother and aunt. Many will always cherish her sweet memories. She leaves behind one daughter LaKeisha Jones (George), two sons Alfred Henderson Jr., and Aaron Ross (Ariel). She was the sister of Sherman Ford (Juanita), Glend Ford (Sarah), Willie Ford III, Jethro (Jimmy) James Jr. (Dustin), Shelia Ford, and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Alfred Henderson Sr., son,Terrance Michael Jupiter, grandson, Terrance Alford, mother, Florine Sears Ford, father, Willie Ford Sr., Grandmother Annie B. Jackson, brothers Shelton and Tyler Ford, sister Darlene James, Niece Kia Davis, and Davonna Gaines. Glenda was a funny and caring person. She had a loving heart for people, jubilant and a very giving spirit. Her laughter filled our hearts with joy and made us glad. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Visitation on Friday, March 18, 2022 from 7pm until 9pm at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA.
