Gladys P. Castoe passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at the age of 98. Beloved wife of Dewey B. Castoe for 64 wonderful and loving years. Mother of the late Julia Mae Morrison, George D. Castoe, Caroline J. Burkett, and Larry D. Castoe. Daughter of the late Lennie and James T. Preast. Preceded in death by 6 siblings, one grandson, Tommy Morrison and one great grandson, Keaton J. Castoe. Also survived by 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren. She loved gardening and canning and was a great cook. Gladys was a native of Sulphur, Oklahoma and a resident of Plaquemines Parish since 1958. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Friday, April 9, 2021 at 12noon at Belle Chasse Church of Christ, 105 Kimble Street, Belle Chasse, LA. Visitation will be held at the church from 10am until 12noon. Interment, Oakland Cemetery, Madill, Oklahoma. Everyone attending the service are required to wear face coverings and practice social distancing. The family wishes to thank Heart of Hospice, Anna Mareno and her daughter-in-law, Diane Castoe for their loving care.
