Gilbert J. "Sonny" Boudreaux, Jr.

Gilbert J. “Sonny” Boudreaux, Jr. passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021 at the age of 88. He is preceded in death by his Wife, Janice Kremer Boudreaux; his parents, Gilbert J. Boudreaux, Sr. and Florence Wehrlin Boudreaux and his Sister, Ann Boudreaux. He is the father of Wendy Boudreaux Macke (Keith), Gilbert J. Boudreaux III (Gina), Stephen Boudreaux (Mary) and Jules Boudreaux (Lucretia). Grandfather of Ashley Boudreaux Drennan (Dillon), Elizabeth Macke, Catherine Boudreaux, Maddie Boudreaux, Victoria Boudreaux, Olivia Boudreaux and Brayden Boudreaux. Great Grandfather of Grant Drennan. Gilbert is a lifelong resident of Gretna, a parishioner of St. Anthony Church Parish and a graduate of Gretna High School and Loyola University. Sonny was a member of the Knights of Columbus Post 1905, a member of the VFW Gretna Post and Westside Marching Club. He served in the United States Navy in the Korean Conflict as a Radioman on the Destroyer, USS Tingey. He retired after several decades of owning and operating. Boudreaux’s Plumbing in Gretna, Louisiana. He was also an avid fisherman and duck hunter. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the Administration and Staff at Riverbend Nursing and Rehab Center and to Harmony Hospice.
