Geraldine "Gerri" Newman Ragan

Geraldine "Gerri" Newman Ragan went to her Glory on April 8, 2020. She was born on February 16, 1942, raised in New Orleans, LA and resided in Gretna, LA for the last 48 years. Daughter of Leona Newman and the late Albert Newman. Sister of Cecila Hoelzel (Claude). She was survived by three daughters, Paula Biewer (David), Karen Ragan, Patti Hartsell (Bruce) and preceeded in death by two daughters Pamela Nata (Frank) and Kristine. Grandmother of Rosemarie (Zack), Jennifer (Archie), Jimmy (Rachel), Bambi, James (Kayla), Jessica (Ben), Holli (Chaz), Frank (Emily), Patrick (Jeanne), and the late Brandy (Shawn).
Nana to Brianna, Cameron, Kaitlyn, Isabella, Jasmine, Skylynn, Jeremy, Patrick Jr., Jason, Cayden, Baylen, Jordyn, Allison, Palmer, Lucas, Aydan, Rilynn, Olivia and the late Chloe Rene. Also survived by a host of neices and nephews.
The family would like the thank the City of Gretna Police Department and EMS, Ochsner Home Health, Egan Home Health, Amedisys Home Health, A Hand To Hold Long Term Care Services, and Marrero Healthcare for helping in the care of our loved one.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
