Geraldine Burmaster Arnold entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 26, 2021 at the age of 86 peacefully at home. Beloved wife of the late Erving E. Arnold. Daughter of the late Ernest F. Burmaster, Sr. and Theresa Keller Burmaster. Loving mother of Jeannine Richard Vicknair (Marvin), Carolyn Arnold, Jean Arnold, Debora Arnold Songy, Robin Arnold Rigdon, Michelle Lauer (Dan), Charles Arnold (Steffanie) and the late Donald Arnold. Geraldine is survived by 14 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild. Geraldine is preceded in death by 1 Great Grandchild as well as her siblings, Ernest F. Burmaster, Jr., Warren D. Burmaster, Gladys Steele and Shirley Carlone. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was born in Fort St. Leon (Belle Chasse) and a resident of Iuka, Mississippi. She was a member of the Daughter’s of the Confederacy and a longtime member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church Ladies Altar Society. She worked for Drake Concrete, Burmaster & Sons and she retired from the United States Postal Service, Metropolitan Developmental Center and at the age of 75, she retired from Burmaster Land. Family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 8968 Belle Chasse Highway, Belle Chasse, La on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 from 10AM until 12PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church on Wednesday at 12PM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, Louisiana.
