Gerald Joseph Ory

Gerald Joseph Ory, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, August 31, 2018 at the age of 85. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Suzette Marie Ory; his parents, Alfred C. Ory and Aurora Ory. He is the beloved husband of 58 years of Judy Weinnig Ory. He is the loving father of Cheri Aimee Ory Wisser (Scott), Nick Anthony Ory, and Aimee Ory Tvrdeic (Roko). He is the devoted grandfather of Ashley Ory Stein (Marcus), and Alyssa Ory. He is the cherished great grandfather of Zoe Suzette Stein, and Marcus Allen Stein Jr. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Gerald was a US Marine Veteran. An avid outdoorsman, Gerald enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, cooking, gardening; and was an accomplished gunsmith. A wonderful example of a true family man, he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Visitation on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM. Visitation will continue on Thursday, September 6, 2018 beginning at 8:00 AM at 11:00 AM all at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA. Interment Greenwood Cemetery, New Orleans, LA.
