George B. Richard, Sr.

George B. Richard, Sr., a retired self-employed attorney entered into eternal rest on Sunday, July 24, 2022 at the age of 96. Beloved husband of 58 years to Agnes Kling Richard. Son of the late Murdock Richard, Sr. and Jeanne Maurin Richard. Devoted father of George L. LeBlanc (Janice) and George B. Richard, Jr. Loving grandfather of Jeff LeBlanc (Tammy) and the late Jill Ann LeBlanc. Great Grandfather of Jillian and Chase LeBlanc. Beloved brother of Victor Richard, Jeanne R. Wright and the late Murdock Richard, Jr. and Burbank Richard. George is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was born in New Orleans and was a resident of Marrero. He served his country from 1943-1945 while enlisted in the United States Navy. He was the founder of St. Vincent de Paul Society and the Knights of Columbus, Council 4222 of Immaculate Conception in Marrero. He was a member of the Jefferson Parish Bar Association, the Louisiana Bar Association, the VFW and the American Legion Post 222 in Marrero. Family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 4401 7th Street, Marrero, Louisiana on Friday, July 29, 2022 from 9AM until 11AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Friday at 11AM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, Louisiana.
