George J. Plaisance, Jr.

George J. Plaisance, Jr. passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at the age of 65. Beloved husband of the late Arlynn Mine Plaisance for 45 years. Father of George J. Plaisance, III and Ginger Cancienne (Travis). Son of the late Amelia Simoneaux Plaisance Paugh and George J. Plaisance Sr. Step-son of the late Marvin R. Paugh. Brother of Raymond Wattigney Jr. (Lisa) and the late Linda P. Kline, (the late Erroll) and Karen P. Trosclair (survived by Jeffery “Rock”). Grandfather of Austin Plaisance (Lexus) and Kody Plaisance. Great-grandfather of Meadow and Remy Plaisance. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. He enjoyed many hobbies, was an accomplished drummer, loved politics and was loved by all who knew him. He was a wonderful and devoted husband, loving and caring father, brother and friend. He will be missed by all. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Gretna, LA for the past 46 years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Mothe Funeral Home, 1300 Vallette St., Algiers, LA on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at 11am.
