Genevieve Rodrigue Mansfield

Genevieve Rodrigue Mansfield, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at the age of 85. She is preceded in death by her grandsons, Kerry Mansfield and Toby Mansfield; her great grandson, Tyler Cargill; her parents, Paul and Priscilla Rodrigue; her brothers, Richard Rodrigue and Samuel Rodrigue; and her godson, Randy Mansfield. She is the beloved wife of 66 years of Melton Mansfield. She is the cherished mother of Lonnie Mansfield Sr. (Debbie), Paul Mansfield (Edwina), Wayne Mansfield (Bobette), and Jan Mansfield (Lisa). She is the devoted grandmother of Lonnie Mansfield Jr., Mindy Chaplain (Derrick Sr.), Bryce Mansfield (Gabriela), Breana Franciapane (Kevin), and Scott Krupa. She is the loving great grandmother of Kody Mansfield, Lauren Mansfield, Colby Mansfield, Farah Chaplain, Derrick Chaplain Jr., Nina Mansfield, Lucas Francipane, and Claudia Mansfield . She is the loving sister of Emily Berger. She is the loving sister-in-law of Harvey Mansfield (Doris). She is the loving godmother of Bonnie Dufrene, Kim Guidroz, and Benny Dufrene. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. As her favorite time of the year was Mardi Gras, Genevieve loved going to parades. She also loved all sports, especially the New Orleans Saints. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Visitation on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 beginning at 9:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
