Major Gaylon T. Baham (Ret.)

Major Gaylon T. Baham, US Army (Ret.) passed away on January 13, 2021 at the age of 59. Beloved father of Justin Baham, Michael Baham and Ashleigh Baham. Son of the late Alvin G. Baham and Marlyn Rhea Baham. Brother of Alvin Melton Baham (Jenny) and Ivy Clay Baham. Nephew of Latimore Smith and Nelwyn Smith. He retired from the U.S. Army after 20 years of service. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in History from Loyola University and a Masters Degree in Human Resources from Webster University and an Associates Degree from Delgado in Business. He was a Jefferson Parish deputy for 41/2 years. He was an avid Saints and LSU fan and a lifelong resident of the New Orleans area. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 11am. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 from 6pm until 8pm and again on Wednesday morning from 9am until 11am. All those attending are required to wear face coverings.
