Gary “Deuce” Anthony Jones, II was born to Gary A. Jones, Sr. and Iris C. Anderson on January 19, 1994 in Evanston Illinois. Gary “Deuce” departed this side of glory unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 8, 2020. “Deuce” was known for his sense of humor, as well as being a jokester. His mission was to make you smile and feel loved at all times. His love and genuine concern for others was infectious. “Deuce” spent the majority of his life in New Orleans having lived here since 2003. He was known throughout the neighborhood going from house to house playing with his friends, riding his bike, but most of all playing sports throughout his elementary and high school days. “Deuce” graduated from Algiers Technology Academy High School in 2012, He was able to gathered work experience at Wal-Mart, Ross Dress for Less, Auto Zone, Furniture Mart before enlisting in the U.S. Army on September 5, 2018. While in the U.S. Army, “Deuce” married his sweetheart, Jeane’ Jones, on August 5, 2019. They lived at Fort Campbell until his death. “Deuce” is honored and remembered by his family and friends, as a wonderful husband, son, brother and friend. His legacy will live on through all that knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Charles Jones and his uncle, Reginald Jones. He leaves to treasure his memory his beloved wife, Jeane’ Jones, his father, Gary Jones, Sr. (Candice), his mother, Iris C. Anderson (Patrick), his grandmother, Gussie M. Jones, his brothers, Demetrice and Mario Spencer, his sisters, Synethia Prosper, Bre’Aunna Elliott-Jones, and Alexis Jones, his step-sisters, Amber Williams and Erica Richardson, his step-brothers Lavon Lampkin and Michael Alexander, his uncle Charles “Chuckie” Jones (Celeste), his aunts, Denise Bryant (Charles), and Deanna Paul (Jeffery), his friend and mentor, Jason Michael Ray and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Due to the COVID Pandemic, attendees are limited to 100 persons. Attendees are required to wear their face mask for the duration of the visitation and Funeral Service. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, Louisiana on Saturday, December 19, 2020 from 9AM until 10AM. Funeral Services will take place at the funeral home on Saturday at 10AM. Interment will be private. Family and friends may offer condolences at mothefunerals.com
