Gail Derenbecker Penton

Gail Marie Derenbecker Penton, loving wife and amazing mother, passed away suddenly at the young age of 63 on Saturday, February 2, 2019. Gail was born January 30, 1956 in New Orleans, LA. Gail wed Frank R. Penton, Jr. on March 17, 1975, and raised two children, Frank "Buddy" and Christy at their home in Avondale, LA. Gail was such a loving and selfless woman. She gave everything to her husband, children, grandchildren and family and friends. She will be sadly missed by family and all that referred to her as “Momma Gail.” Gail is preceded in death by her mother Anna Mae Derenbecker, her mother-in-law Minnie Oralee Penton, father-in-law Frank R. Penton, Sr., and her beloved Robert Bowie whom she helped raise. Beloved wife of 43 years to Frank R. Penton, Jr. Mother of Frank Penton, III (Jamie) and Christy Morvant (Steve). Grandmother of AJ Penton, Colt Penton, and Baileigh Morvant. Daughter of Warren Derenbecker, Sr. (Catherine). Sister of Warren Derenbecker (Jamie), William Derenbecker (Donna), David Derenbecker (Jeannie), Kenny Derenbecker (Jody), and Judy Nelson (Phil). Also survived by 13 nieces and nephews, and 17 great nieces and nephews. Sister-in-law to Lee Friar (late Ken), Bruce Penton, and Annette Penton.
Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Parlor of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Friday, February 8, 2019 at 7 PM. Visitation will be held Friday from 4 PM until 7 PM. Interment will be private.
