Francisco Sergio Salgado

Francisco Sergio Salgado passed away on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at the age of 88. Beloved husband of the late Francisca Salgado. Father of Chayo Valladares (Pedro), Gloria Estrada, Jacobo Estrada (Lisette), Alba Del Rosario (Apollo), Anna Zuniga (Luis), Mafe Estrada, Vilma Salgado, America Salgado, Patty McDonald (Mario), and Mila Mendoza (Henry). Son of the late Manuel and Susana Salgado. Brother of Donatila Copland Salgado, Filonila Velasquez Salgado, and the late Ramon Salgado, Enrique Salgado, Orbelina Salgado, and Bertha Castro Salgado. Also survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. He was a soccer player, nicknamed, Catato Cordero. He loved music and loved to dance, always joking, a very happy person. He enjoyed taking his daughters to the beach and park. He loved his wife and family very, very much. He was a native of Tela, Honduras and a resident of Harvey, LA. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy., Harvey, LA on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 11am.
