Emma "Cuca" Lopez

Emma “Cuca” Lopez, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at the age of 91. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Elio Lopez, Sr.; her parents, Antonio Suarez and Dolores “Lola” Fernandez Suarez; and her siblings, Ramona Suarez Fernandez, Antonia Suarez Fernandez, and Fidel Gromelio Suarez. She is the loving mother of Maria Dolores Lopez and Elio Lopez, Jr. (Vicky). She is the devoted grandmother of Hector Pineda (Kheena), Ricardo Pineda (Lilliana), Elio Lopez, III (Beverly), Cory Lopez (Kasey), Amanda Persohn (Billy), Tyler Lopez (Sheena), and Brad Lopez (Kayla). She is the loving great grandmother of James, Cameron, Mercedes, Sophia, Gage, Jade, Logan, Lily, Kevin Jr., Alivia, Alaina, Ellie, Greyson, Emily, Brayla, and Hunter. She is the great great grandmother of 4 great great grandchildren. She is the cherished sister of Diomedes Jose “Joe” Suarez. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Visitation on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 beginning at 9:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
