Emelie Brouillette Bourgeois

Emelie Brouillette Bourgeois of Marrero, Louisiana passed away on September 13th, 2022. She was born on February 24th, 1946 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Aaron P. Brouillette and Nila C. Carriere. Emelie was the loving mother of Alden Jr. (Annette), David (Susan), and the late Louis “Buddy” and a beloved grandmother to her 5 grandchildren: Brooke (Matt), Matthew, Brock (Breanna), Rachael and Kayla (Cody) and to her 2 great grandchildren Luke and Riley. She is survived by her dear sister, Shirley Prestenbech and nephews, John and Reed Jr. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alden Bourgeois Sr., her mother, Nila C. Carriere, and her brother-in-law, Reed Prestenbach. Emelie enjoyed spending time with her family and her beloved animals. She was retired from a career in cosmetic sales with Dillards and Maison Blanche.
Visitation & Mass will be held on Monday September 19, 2022. Visitation will be at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with a Mass to follow at 1:30PM. Burial will be at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA immediately following the Funeral Mass. Family and friends may offer condolences at mothefunerals.com.
