Elridge "E.J." Joseph Sanchez Jr.

Elridge “E.J.” Joseph Sanchez, Jr., 69, passed away on September 14, 2021. Born on November 5, 1951 in New Orleans, LA, he was the loving husband of Peggy Autin Sanchez for 51 years and father of Kimberley Sanchez Rastanis (Sean) and Christopher Sanchez (Stacy). Grandfather of Tara Sanchez, Gillian Sanchez, Giana Sanchez, Rowan Rastanis, Coralie Sanchez and the late Cadence Sanchez. E.J. was the son of the late Elridge Sr. and Frances Rivero Domingue. Brother to the late Daryl Sanchez, David Sanchez (Kim), Dwayne Sanchez (Tracey) and Debbie Domingue. He is also survived by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and three godchildren. E.J. was a member of the graduating Class of 1969 at West Jefferson High School. He was a retired Industrial Sign Design Specialist from Command Construction in Kenner, LA. He was a lifelong guitarist and played with numerous local bands. He also was a former President of the Greater New Orleans Dart Association (GNODA). Friends and family are invited to attend a funeral service in the Chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 LAPALCO BLVD., in Marrero at 11AM on Monday, September 20, 2021. Visitation will begin at 9am.
