Elizabeth Boggan Chauncey Holt

Elizabeth Boggan Chauncey Holt passed away peacefully on May 29, 2021 at the age of 74 years. Beloved wife of Leroy Holt. Mother of Michelle Chauncey Easley Hotard (Claude), Grant Joseph Holt, Bernadette Holt Bordelon May and Ann Breaux Huffman (Charles). “Nana” of Russell, Ross, Amanda, Chris, Nicholas, Giovanni and Charles III. Great-grandmother of Gus. Sister of Jimmy Boggan, Leslie Boggan, Becky Pekinto, Annette Perrin, and the late Sidonia Richoux. Daughter of Ann Clement Boggan and the late James L. Boggan. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Elizabeth was raised in Westwego, LA and graduated from West Jefferson High School. She worked in finance much of her life for West Jefferson Medical Center and Albertson’s Grocers. She was a devout Christian and never missed a chance to teach or spread the Word of Jesus Christ. She loved spending time with children and enjoyed crocheting, reading, Mardi Gras and was an original fan of Elvis Presley. She will be sadly missed but her life and legacy will be celebrated.

A Memorial Visitation will be held at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Boulevard, Marrero, LA on Thursday, June 10, 2021 from 9am to 11am. Services will follow.
