Elaine B. Melancon

Elaine B. Melancon, age 69, born October 1, 1948 in New Orleans, LA passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2018. She was a lifelong resident of Marrero, LA. Elaine was the wife of the late Roland T. Melancon; the beloved mother of Michael L. Melancon (Nicole) and Holly M. Parfait (Charles, Jr.). She is the beloved sister of Jeanette B. Authement (Robert), Judy B. Reifsteck (Gary) and Clint P. Bourgeois. Grandmother of Michael L. Melancon, Jr., Cecilia Melancon and Paiton Jake Mahler. Daughter of the late Lenox J. Bourgeois, Jr. and the late Lillian M. Bourgeois. Sister-in-law of Maryann Singleton. Elaine is survived by 5 nephews and several great nieces and great nephews. The family would like to extend a special Thank You to Dr. Winters, Dr. Satti, Dr. Page and the Staff of Ochsner Medical Center. A Special Thank You also to Charles and Kathy Parfait, Sr. Family and friends are invited the memorial visitation at Harvest Time Fellowship Church, 3401 8th Street, Harvey, LA on Saturday, September 1, 2018 from 10AM until 11AM. Memorial Services will be held at Harvest Time Fellowship Church on Saturday at 11AM. A private interment will be held at a later date. MOTHE FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.
