Edward Adolph Lawson passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2018. Beloved husband of 61 years to Patricia Chamberlain Lawson of Reading, England. Loving father of Edward Lawson, Jr. (Karie Dubreuil) and Wendy Lawson DeRocha (Bernie). Grandfather of Blake Lawson (Nicole) and Kristopher DeRocha (Megan). Great-grandfather of Trace Lawson. Son of the late Blanchard Lawson and Odile Richard Lawson. Brother of John P. Lawson, Ione Lawson Hebert, and the late Roger Lawson, Blanchard Lawson, Jr., and Alice Lawson Crawford. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and God-daughter Wylene Heatherly (Len). Age 82 years and a lifelong resident of Algiers, LA. Edward graduated from Martin Behrman High School in 1954 and served four years in the United States Air Force stationed in England and France. He was employed by the United States Navy Department at NAS and retired from the Supervisor of Shipbuilding Department at Avondale Shipyard in 1994. Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy, Harvey, LA on Friday, December 28, 2018 at 1:30 PM. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. Visitation will be held Friday morning from 11 AM until service time.
