Earl P. Hernandez, Sr.

Earl P. Hernandez, Sr. entered into Eternal Rest on Monday, November 26, 2018 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of 54 years to the late Marlene L. Hernandez. Father of Susan Hernandez, Earl Hernandez, Jr. (Dana) and Darren Hernandez (Connie). Loving Grandfather of Darren “D.J.” Hernandez, Jr. and Blythe Hernandez. Son of the late Eusebe Hernandez and Nora Picou Hernandez. Brother of Douglas Hernandez (Betty), Margaret H. Lutz, Ethel H. Winterstein and Ronald Hernandez (the late Sandy). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Earl was born October 12, 1935 in New Orleans, LA and was a longtime resident of Marrero, LA. He loved fishing, having seafood boils for his family and spending quality time with his grandchildren. Earl worked at Continental Can Company for 33 years until his retirement. He served his country while enlisted in the United States Army. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Thursday, November 29, 2018 from 9AM until 1PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 1PM. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Thibodeaux, LA on Thursday at 3PM.
