Douglas “Doug” C. Schoffner entered peacefully into eternal rest on Monday, March 19, 2018 at the age of 70. Beloved husband of Connie Beck Schoffner. Son of the late Norman L. Schoffner and Olive Louise Murphy Schoffner. Loving father of Dr. Kindell Schoffner-Martine (Joe), Amanda B. Schoffner, Christopher M. Chivleatto (Becky) and Mario A. Chivleatto (Jessica). Grandfather of Gavin Martine, Riley Chivleatto, Brady Chivleatto and Gabriel Chivleatto. Brother of Brent Schoffner and Tad C. Schoffner. Brother-in-law of Wendy Schoffner, Debra Babin and Lisa Schoffner. Lifelong friend of Mike and Liz Tschuor. Doug was born in Lancaster, Ohio and was a resident of Monroe, Ohio for 10 years. He worked as a Production Manager for the Supervisor of shipbuilding with the United States Navy. He served his country in the Vietnam War while enlisted in the United States Navy. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Monday, March 26, 2018 from 9AM until 1:30PM. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 1:30PM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
