Dorothy Szustak Giangrosso

Dorothy "Dottie" Szustak Giangrosso entered into eternal rest on March 15, 2021. Beloved wife of Fredrick J. Giangrosso, Jr. Mother of Denise Giangrosso Naquin (Chris) and Monica Giangrosso. Grandmother of Ty, Haley, Zoe, and Eli Naquin and one expected great-grandchild. Daughter of the late Edna Cleveland Szustak and Alexander Szustak. Age 75 years, a native of Wilkes Barre, PA and resident of Laplace, LA. Dorothy was raised in Sidney, NE through her high school years. She then moved to New Orleans until marriage, and settled in LaPlace where she raised her family. She liked to travel, participate in community theater, Girl Scouts of New Orleans, and support her grandchildren in sports and dancing. She was a supporter of animal rescue, having been adopted by many animals throughout her life. Her tender heart generated a houseful of rescued cats and dogs, plus a porch full of strays. She can rest easy knowing we will take care and spoil her beloved pets, Indy, Minnie, Noodle and Buddy. Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy, Harvey, LA on Monday, March 22, 2021 at 11 AM. Interment Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery, Belle Chasse, LA. Visitation will be held from 9 AM until mass time. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to Cat Haven in Baton Rouge.
