Doris Gros Guidry Jones

Doris Gros Guidry Jones passed away peacefully on February 19, 2018 at the age of 85 years. Beloved wife of the late Thomas Ray Guidry by first marriage and the late Norman Lavelle Jones by second marriage. Mother of Thomas Guidry Jr. (Judy) and the late Wendy Jones Montet (Warren). Grandmother of Michael Guidry (Taryn) and Monica Castaneda (Jorge). Great-grandmother of Bruce Guidry. Sister of the late Verna Guillot, Irby Gros, Clincy Gros, Junius Gros, Rose Mary Fields and Celestina Stein. Daughter of the late Eurosia Morvant Gros and Harold Gros. Also survived by many loving relatives and friends.

Doris worked for many years at Winn Dixie and later, at Breaux Mart. Her friendly and gentle nature was always her trademark. Even after her retirement, friends and coworkers would look forward to seeing her and sharing a smile or kind word. She will be sadly missed.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Saturday, February 24, 2018 from 11am to 1pm. A Memorial Mass will follow in the funeral home chapel.
