Donna Leger Lindsey Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Donna Leger Lindsey, wife of Ellis Dale Lindsey Jr. for 32 years, mother of Ellis Dale Lindsey III, and a resident of Belle Chasse, peacefully passed away on July 22, 2022, surrounded by her family at age 61. She is preceded in death by her father Marlin A. Leger and mother Gladys Romano Leger. Her siblings are Cindy Leger Chauff (Jimmy), Marlin A. Leger (Gwen), Wayne Leger Sr. (Aida), Debbie Leger, and Linda Leger. Donna was a loving aunt to James Chauff III, Michael Chauff, Wayne Leger Jr., Brandon Leger, Addie Leger, and Bryanna Leger. She was also a great aunt to Michael, Myles, Max, and Mason Chauff. Throughout her early life, Donna attended Holy Cross College and graduated from LSU nursing school as a registered nurse. Donna also achieved a master’s in child psychology which allowed her to work at DePaul Hospital for 25 years. She was a member of the altar society at OLPH Church, eucharistic minister, and vice president of the Italian American Society of Jefferson Ladies Auxiliary. A special thanks to Dr. Culicchia, Dr. Gould, Dr. Mammoser, and Notre Dame Hospice staff. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Gretna, La. at 10am on Tuesday, July 26, 2022. The visitation will begin at 8:00am. Interment will immediately follow the Mass at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Gretna, La
