Dolores Foret Plaisance

Dolores Foret Plaisance passed away peacefully on February 12, 2019 at the age of 83. Beloved wife of the late Valture J. Plaisance. Mother of Sandra P. Meador (Stephen and his sister, Cindy) and Val Plaisance (Julie). Grandmother of Kristian, Trey, Ryan (Alyssa) and Cameron (Beryl). Great-grandmother of Ella, Gracie and Cam. Sister of the late Murphy Foret Jr. and Thomas Foret. Daughter of the late Murphy Foret and Bella Griffin Foret. Also survived by loving sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Dolores worked for many years with the Jefferson Parish Clerk of Courts Office. In her retirement, she worked with H & R Block as a scheduler. Dolores was active at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church as a member of St. Vincent de Paul Society and also served as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion. She was a strong presence in her church and was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She lived each and every day in the Christian example for her family and friends to follow. The most important thing in life to Dolores was spending time with her family and friends. While her passing is sorrowful, her life will be celebrated.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Monday, February 18, 2019 from 10am to 1:30pm. A Funeral Mass will follow in the funeral home chapel. Interment Our Lady of Prompt Succor Mausoleum in Westwego.
