Sgt. David Lee King

Sgt. David Lee King, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2020 at the age of 30. He is survived by his parents, Col. Anthony Lee King and Donna Rodriguez King; his brother, Michael Anthony King (Amelie); his nephew, Darius King and niece, Danica King; his grandfather, Don Rodriguez; numerous other family members and friends. David was a US Army Veteran. He attended Belle Chasse High School and UNO in New Orleans. At one time, David was a coach of wrestling at Belle Chasse High School; and was active in wrestling and mixed martial arts. David while in the Army was an ears, nose, and throat specialists, earning him several awards in the field. He was a friendly and loving person who enjoyed caring for others. He will be sorely missed by his loving parents, brother, family, and friends. David will be having services in Colorado Springs, CO at Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home with interment at Pike’s Peak National Cemetery in Colorado Springs, CO. Following completion of services in Colorado, family and friends of David are invited to attend a Memorial Visitation and Gathering of Friends and Family on Monday, June 29, 2020 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA.
