Curtis J. Hebert Jr. (CJ, Boomie, Big Bob) passed away after battling cancer on Monday, October 8, 2018 at the age of 68. He was a lifelong resident of Gretna, LA. Beloved husband of Nancy Gabriel Hebert for 21 years. He was the son of the late Curtis J. Hebert, Sr and Adeline S. Hebert. Brother of the late Susan Hebert Bernard. Father of his loving daughter, Angie L. Hebert. Grandfather of Adam Gaudin, Jr. Uncle of Wayne, Jessica, Wade, Laura and Shannon. Loved by in-laws, Bryan, Michael, Joey, Linda, Janice and Melanie. Former husband of Joylean Pierce. Lifelong brother of Donald Darce. Dear friend of Keith and Kim Parsons. He was employed for over 40 years by Gator Supply (Harvey). He was a singer with Frankie Ford, St. Joseph's Holy Family Singers, The Majestics, The Sparks, and West Jefferson Buccaneer Band playing trumpet. Curtis was inducted into the Louisiana Musicians Hall of Fame with his loving wife, Nancy. He is in the Westbank Musicians Hall of Fame. He had a love for the game of golf and was a dedicated Saints and LSU fan. He was dedicated to his family, church and was loving Paw daddy to Kattie and Frankie, were always his inspiration. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 610 6th Street, Gretna, LA on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 1pm.
