Clothilde Hartland Wattigney, a retired stenographer for the Jefferson Parish Planning and Zoning Department, and Secretary of the Planning Advisory Board, passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2021, at the age of 93. Beloved Wife of the late Rocco Alphonse Wattigney, Sr. of 58 years. Devoted Mother of Rocco Alphonse Wattigney, Jr. (Pam), Cheryl Wattigney Graves (Donald), and Michael William Wattigney. Sister of the late William Henry Hartland (Antoinette). Daughter of the late William Henry Hartland and Clothilde Gauthier Hartland. Clothilde, lovingly known as ‘Clo,’ ‘Aunt Teal,’ or ‘Maw-Maw,’ is survived by 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. She touched the lives and is greatly loved by her many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends. Clo was an avid believer in Christ and spread joy and laughter everywhere she went. Clo loved to dance, spend time with her many grandchildren, and celebrate many activities at the Harahan Senior Center. She was a longtime member of St. Rita’s Catholic Church in Harahan and loved to pray the Rosary. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy., Harvey, LA on Monday, November 8, 2021 at 11am. Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 6pm until 9pm and again Monday morning from 9am until 11am. Interment, McDonoghville Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
