Clarence Harold Maechling Jr.

October 24, 1954 - January 29, 2022

Clarence Harold Maechling, Jr. passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at the age of 67. Beloved husband of Trenee M. Maechling for 43 years. Father of Lucille Impastato (Jason Sabio), Kellie Tunstall (Todd), and Shannon R. Maechling (Randel Buckley-Santos). Son of the late Christine and Clarence Maechling Sr. Grandfather of Ryan Smith (Sam), Jason Smith, Alyssa Martinez (Brandon), Alexis Impastato and the late Makayla Middleton. Great grandfather of Aubree, Zoey, Kayden, Landen, Gracie, Havyn and Aiden. Also survived by all the young adults he mentored (and you know who you are). He retired from the New Orleans Police Department after 28 years of service, was a field training officer and worked at headquarters in the IT Division for many of those years. He was loved and very well respected by all. He was a lifelong resident of New Orleans, LA. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy., Harvey, LA on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at 1pm.
