Clara Lejeune Daigle

Clara LeJeune Daigle, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, July 20, 2020 at the age of 81. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Nelson Joseph Daigle; her parents, John Walter LeJeune, Sr. and Blanche Matherne LeJeune; and her brothers, Mark D. LeJeune, Sr. and John W. LeJeune, Jr. She is the loving mother of Mary Jon Ripp LeBlanc (Dwayne), Marvin James Ripp, Jr. (Lisa), and Chris Gerard Ripp. She is the devoted grandmother of Benjamin Ripp, Claire Marie Ripp, and Veronica Ray Ripp. She is the loving sister-in-law of Carol LeJeune. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Clara divided her time in the work force with American Can Company, US Postal Service, and Carnival Cruise Line. An avid Saints fan, she was also passionate about LSU Football and Baseball. She was a compassionate and generous lady whose major love in life was spending time with her loving family. A wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Special thanks to Carol “Me” LeJeune for her unwavering support, love, and care; and for Mary Marcel for always being there. Also a big thank you to Drs. Nelly Aoun MD, Clay Gould MD, Wesley Clark MD, and Robert Kesler MD; and the nurses at West Jefferson Medical Center in ICU, CCU, and floors 3, 5, and 8 for their compassionate care. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Visitation on Saturday, July 25, 2020, beginning at 9:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
