Charlie Rader

In loving memory of Charlie Rader who passed away peacefully on August 3, 2021. Charlie is preceded in death by his sister, Rosemary Ray, brother Colin Rader, and daughter Michelle Pascarella. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Barbara Rader, his brothers, Jerry and Ivan Rader; his sisters, Joan Gaylord and Shelia Smith as well as children, Lisa Shelton, Renee Heironimus, Michael Murphy, and Dennis Rader. He is the proud grandfather and great grandfather to ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Charlie had a dedicated and thirty-year Navy career serving on 7 ships and 9 duty stations throughout the US and the world. He retired on February 28, 1989 with honor and faithful service to his country as a Senior Chief Petty Officer. Charles Rader was a kind and gentle soul who loved his family and enjoyed spending time with Barbara, his friends and family. He loved relaxing and enjoying a good book and Charlie could always be found in his favorite chair with a stack of books next to him waiting to be read. Charlie was always thoughtful and kind to all he met and was a friend to everyone. If he wasn’t at home reading, he would be out enjoying quiet conversations and spending time with friends and loved ones. Charlie lived a life full of love and joy. He spread that attitude to all he encountrered. For that we thank you and say, “Good job Charlie!” Due to COVID, there will not be a Funeral Service at this time.
