Cedric Samuel Roddy peacefully entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 21, 2018 at the age of 87. Beloved and loving husband of 64 years to Clarice Bankston Roddy. Son of the late Alvin H. Roddy and Sidonia Hymel Roddy. Loving father of Keith Roddy (Rina). Beloved grandfather of Samuel Roddy (Sara) and Erica Roddy (Perryn). Beloved great grandfather of Clara Olson, Colleen Olson and 1 expectant great grandchild, Simon Samuel Roddy. Cedric was a lifelong resident of Westwego, LA. He served his country while enlisted in the United States Army. Cedric worked as a foreman at Avondale Shipyards for 48 years. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 from 9:30AM until 11AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11AM. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Mausoleum (Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery), Westwego, LA.
