Carroll "Butch" Abadie Jr.

Carroll "Butch" Abadie, Jr. passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, September 25, 2020 at the age of 67. Beloved father of Renee Abadie, Kellie Abadie Greenleaf and Christopher Abadie, Sr. Son of the late Ursula Monson Abadie and Carroll Abadie Sr. Brother of Gaynel Abadie, the late Angela Abadie and Lisa Lanosga (Frank). Grandfather of Garrett Rapp, Nathaniel Rasmussen, Amelia Greenleaf, Deanna, Ava and Christopher Abadie, Jr. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many cousins. He proudly served his community as a member of the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Office in many capacities until his retirement. He is a 1972 graduate of River Oaks Academy and he received his bachelor's degree from Our Lady of Holy Cross College in 1995. He was a native of Belle Chasse, LA. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Visitation on Thursday, October 8, 2020 beginning at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM all at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 8968 LA-23, Belle Chasse, LA. Interment OLPH Cemetery, Belle Chasse, LA. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Pulmonary Hypertension Association at phassociation.org.
