Carolyn Sue Coomer Ingram passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 21, 2022. She was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on August 20, 1951, to Bobby R. Mays Sr. and the late Myrtis Mays.
Carolyn is survived by her companion of 25 years, James Tommy Braswell; her children, Keith Alan Smith, Kimberly Denise Johns, and Connie Ranee Hall (Kevin); her father, Bobby R Mays Sr; her siblings, Jack Mays Sr (Wendy) and Sam Mays; her grandchildren, Thomas Coomer, Christopher Hannack, Shanna Johns, and Chelsea Johns, as well as five great grandchildren. Carolyn also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and her beloved fur babies, “Zoey” and “Daisy”.
She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas “TJ” Jackson Coomer; her mother, Myrtis Mays; and her siblings, Bobby R. Mays II (late Gwen) and William Allan Mays (Debbie).
Carolyn was along time resident of Tennessee. She loved to go cruising and shopping. She absolutely adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and she took such pride in her gardening. Carolyn always had an eye for the unique and memorable. She was a godly woman and she loved to spend time at her church, “Cowboy Church”. She will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, La at 1:30 pm.
