Carolyn Micas Brasset

Carolyn Micas Brasset peacefully entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at the age of 85. Beloved wife of 57 years to the late Jeffery J. Brasset, Jr. Daughter of the late Jeanne Coleman Micas and Emmett George Micas. Loving mother of Mary Beth Brasset, Carol Ann “Annie” Brasset Stell (Herb), Jeanne Ellen Brasset Roland and Jeffery J. Brasset, III (Marilyn). Grandmother of Matthew Steven Stell (Alicia), Sarah Ashley Simon (Spencer), Madelyn Michelle Roland and Jae Hannah Brasset along with 4 great-grandchildren.
Carolyn graduated from Southwestern LA University with her BS degree. She taught science and biology at West Jefferson High School for many years. She earned her LPN certification and worked at Meadowcrest Living Center. Carolyn was active in her church parish at St. Martha Catholic Church. She was a member of the Sweet Adelines International Chorus Group, a member of the APA (American Poolplayers Assoc.) and played in local pool leagues.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Saturday, October 24, 2020 from 11:30am to 1:30pm. A Funeral Mass will follow. Interment will be in Westlawn Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
Respective of current guidelines, all those attending must wear a face covering/mask and practice distancing.
