Brittany Marie Ates

Brittany Marie Ates entered in eternal rest on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at the age of 39 due to complications from Friedreich’s Ataxia. Beloved mother of McKenna R. Ates. Daughter of Beryl Bourg Ates and Craig J. Ates. Sister of Michelle K. Ates. Aunt of Kinsley Duhon and Kailey Ates. Niece of Cynthia and John “Eric” Adams, Vicky Ates Brossette, John “Snookie” and Patsy Ates. Granddaughter of the late Marion and Camile Bourg, Adrian “A.J.” and Amaryllis “Mell” Ates.

Brittany was a lifetime resident of Harvey, LA and she worked for the Jefferson Parish School Board for several years. She had a great sense of humor and lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed having her hair, nails, and makeup done and visiting on social media. Brittany loved spending time with her daughter McKenna, her nieces Kinsley and Kailey, along with close family and friends. She will be deeply missed by family, relatives, close friends and everyone who knew her.

Due to current guidelines and conditions, private services were held February 13, 2021 at Mothe Funeral Home in Harvey, LA.
