Brian Russell Branson, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at the age of 60. He is preceded in death by his father, Ted N. Branson; his grandmother, Clara G. Maas; and his mother-in-law, Louise Naquin. He is the beloved husband of 29 years of Nicole Naquin Branson. He is the loving father of Anthony Branson, Nicholas Branson (Ruby), and Bethany Becnel (Mason). He is the devoted grandfather of 7 wonderful grandchildren who love to call him “Grumpy”. He is the loving son of Virginia M. Branson. He is the cherished brother of his twin sister, Beth Lambert (Jean Paul), and Brad Branson. He is also survived by his loving father-in-law, Iven Naquin, Jr.; his life-long best friend/brother, Kenneth “Bud” Verderber; other family and friends. Brian was known to many as “The Pool Guy”. He enjoyed running his own pool business for 30 plus years, and loved serving his happy customers, many who became close friends. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Gathering of Family and Friends on Saturday, August 8, 2020 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA. In order to satisfy the COVID-19 restrictions, we are asking all friends and family to please wear your face masks. Thank you.
