Brendan Blaze O'Brien

Brendan Blaze O’Brien passed away on November 8, 2021 at the age of 55. He is preceded in death by his parents, Vernon K. O’Brien and Shirlie Chandler O’Brien.
Father of Matthew O’Brien, Rachel-Marie O’Brien, and Dillon O’Brien. Also survived by Christopher M. Andry, Tara King, along with other relatives and friends.
Brendan was born in Long Beach, CA, grew up in Florida, and lived in several places including Oregon and Indiana. As a youngster, he was affectionately known as “Brenny Bear” by his family. He came to New Orleans in 2006 to help rebuild a city that he would fall in love with and call home.
He was a talented home cook who developed a love for cooking at a young age. He will be sadly missed.
Visitation will be held at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Saturday, December 18, 2021 from 10am to 1:30pm. A Graveside Service will be held at Westlawn Memorial Park, 1225 Whitney Avenue, Gretna, LA for 2pm.
