Binh Tran (Aka Sherman Tran)

Sherman Anthony Tran, (AKA Anton Tran Van Binh), age 85, entered into eternal rest the afternoon of Wednesday, February 17, 2021. He was born June 30, 1936 in Pleiku, Vietnam. He is survived by his wife Lan Thi Tran, son Linh Tran, daughters Giang Tran (Luan), Mary Dang (Hao), Tiffany Au (Dung), Phuoc Tran (An), 12 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
Sherman will be remembered as a true servant of God, spreading love through his dedication to the church. Sherman was a founding and active member of St. Agnes Le Thi Thanh Catholic Parish, participating in Faith Formation, Eucharistic Ministry, Cursillo Movement, Legion of Mary, and numerous Evangelization efforts.
A visitation for Sherman will occur Thursday, February 25, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM with Mass at 7PM at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, located at 7040 Lapalco Blvd, Marrero LA 70072. Another visitation will occur Friday, February 26, 2021 from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME in Marrero, LA.
Vigil Mass will occur Friday, February 26, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at St. Agnes Le Thi Thanh Catholic Church, located at 6851 St. Le Thi Thanh Street, Marrero, LA 70072. Final visitation will occur Saturday 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME in Marrero, LA.
Funeral Mass will be at St. Agnes Le Thi Thanh Catholic Church in Marrero, LA at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow on the grounds of Westlawn Cemetery, located at 1225 Whitney Avenue, Gretna, LA 70056.
