Billy Hunt Oldham Jr. (AKA – Wild Bill) passed away on March 29, 2022 at the age of 69, at his home in Harvey LA surrounded by his loving wife, daughters and grandchildren. Billy’s medical issues over the past several months showed his courage in facing life’s challenges with a smile. Despite the pain, Billy came out a hero and stayed strong until the end. Billy became a commercial fisherman at 15 years old running one of his uncle’s trawls boats out of Empire, from there his career took off as a Boat Captain bringing men and supplies to the oil rigs which brought many memorable years to his journey in life. Billy was also, an AVID hunter and fisherman. He loved to tell his hunting and fishing stories to family, friends, and complete strangers. If it had four legs, was in season it was either hooked, shot, tagged, or hung on the family walls; also, becoming food on the table. He deeply loved his family, friends and had an unconditional love for his grandkids and great grandkids. Billy is survived by his wife Patricia Rushton Oldham, daughters Raynel Oldham-Bays and Tiffiny Oldham, grandkids: Jordan Graham, Kayla Bays, Arleigh Mckinion, Arlin Mickinion, Amelia Mckinion, great-grandkids: Lilly Nemecek, Chloe Graham, and Katherine Graham. His siblings: Mary Pearson-Oldham, James Oldham, Richard Oldham and Debra Oldham-Donathan. Billy (AKA) Wild Bill lived his life to the fullest. It was his way or the highway. His journey in life had its ups and downs but he brought many happy memories to all who had the privilege of knowing him. Well so long Wild Bill; you will be greatly missed; we are sad that you had to go but we know you are living your best life looking down on all of us. Services will be held privately at a later date.
